Multi-member LLCs can only do cash or prepaid PPA. Single-member LLCs can do PPAs with articles of organization documents proving single ownership and the contract must be generated in the name of the member/owner. Utility bill must be in the homeowners name. If it's under a company name its considered commercial and therefore disqualified.

Yes, we install on Standing Seam, Trapezoidal and Corrugated Metal roofs. We may also install on the following roof types; comp shingle, rolled comp, comp over shake, tile, TPO/EPDM, 2X3 rafters.

Single Family Homes, Townhomes, Manufactured, Mobile Homes (NOTE: Manufactured and Mobile homes require a structural engineering stamp of approval stating the home is suitable for solar and is built on a permanent foundation. Mobile Homes are very difficult to get approved), Duplex, Triplex, Fourplex. Five unit and greater are commercial and not qualified.

If over production occurs, this becomes free excess power to the customer and will benefit them via net metering credits as applicable in their AHJ. Underproduction is quaranteed 90% of the estimated annual production and we true up every two years throughout the 25 year term.

The agreement term is for 25 (or 20) years where we commit to maintain, service and monitor the panels at no additional cost and provide you with discounted renewable energy for the duration of the term.

If you sell the house, we simply transfer the solar agreement to the new owner. They assume the low price per kWh, the remaining time of your agreement and all the warranties along with it.

The panels generate a slight amount of heat on the glass to where the snow eventually slides off. Solar panels are still able to produce some power through infrared, UV and light absorption.

Your homeowners insurance covers your home and contents. If our solar panels are damaged, they are covered under our own insurance policy.

Typically, homebuyers that do not want solar do not make offers on homes with solar. However, if the buyer does not want the solar panels yet still wants to buy said home, these are the options:
1) Homeowner pays off the remaining balance owed to Kin Home.2) Buyer may pay off solar system.
3) Homeowner and buyer may negotiate splitting the cost of the solar system.

Our financial partners (or whoever purchases the portfolio) would assume the responsibility of carrying out all of the commitments, servicing, warranties, etc in your agreement for the entire term. Similar to a home mortgage, it gets sold to another servicer. Which means there is no change to your payments, loan balance (if owned) or term. You simply make your payment to another company.

It's possible depending on the solar coverage on the roof. The panels absorb the heat and sun rays instead of beating directly on the roof.

The solar system detects when there is a grid services power outage, which immediately turns off the solar power. This shut-off is to protect utility workers, from any solar electrical backfeed, as they resolve the the grid disruption. With battery, your home will maintain power.

Recycle when they stop operating. Solar panels last for 25+ years. The solar panels on the space station from the 1990's are still operational today!

No. We sell you discounted electricity from our solar system. Any excess power that is generated back feeds into the power grid, thus generating kWh credits through net metering with your utility.

Yes, first they pull the utility power meter to disconnect all power coming from the grid. Second, they pull the shut off switch to the solar which powers down all solar panels. There are fire code setbacks that we design to for compliance so the firefighters can safely access and navigate on the roof.

They may within the first 18 months if you do not apply the tax credit to your loan, the payment will be increased accordingly. Conversely, if you pay more than the tax credits toward the loan, the payment will be reduced accordingly.
